The Print8x page says you wanted to hear if it worked and so I'm here telling you it did. Yayz :) It printed a line of giberish on the top of the page over and over on my HP psc(printer scaner copier) 750xi. The only thing is it wouldn't stop printing I had to hit the cancel botton on the printer to get it to stop.

oh yeah and keep working on this because it is looking goo if it can already print some text.

I got more than a pixel I got text it was something like xudyowehlkjadhuovhdsjlna. it was like the program just spit out random ACSii codes and then fed them to the printer.

OK so have you done any more work on it so maybe I can do a print screen or something like that soon.

Ok then, I also get a line of garbage with an HP deskjet 5550 and a few others that I don't remember off the top of my head... I tested a while ago, but the app hasn't been updated since then, so...

Good to hear but I think this is a great project that ti might even buy off of you if you get it done. I bet they would preload it onto teacher editions and may sell an overpriced adapter.

well I plan to do some major testing with this soon I have quite a few different models and brands to try it out on so we'll see. I'll post the results and printer models soon.

will print8x be able to force printers to print or something like that? my hp7310 doesnt allow anything other than some camera to be attached to the usb port

Print8x can't really print anything but garbage atm and only supports a few printers so unless that printer can print plain text useing a certain PDL it's not plausible.

Also Brandon would you like me to keep testing different printers because I'll have access to another HP and an Epson and I'll test on them if you want.
